Timeline
1976
John C Fu graduated Kent State University, moved to LA, and started CF Design, designing commercial interiors.
1989
CF Kent Inc opened first factory in Beijing, China to manufacture furniture for U.S. Hotel market
1990
Opened office and warehouse in Monterey Park, California.
2001
Jonathan Fu joined as Project Manager and is now the Director of Sales and Marketing
2003
Opened new company headquarters in Commerce, California. Larger facility includes office, showroom, and warehouse
2004
Opened factory in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam
2008
Lawrence Fu joined as Shipping Manager and is now the General Manager of Operations
2017
Implemented Design Visualization service as part of its focus on product development
2020
Moved all business systems to cloud based software to improve operations
Our Process
Sales Consultation
Our clients are most successful when we are brought into the product development process early on to review your designs through the lens of manufacturing and advise on construction, materials, and cost. This includes using one of our signature services, Design Visualization. All RFQs and Specification packages are thoroughly reviewed by our experienced sales team to ensure we have a clear understanding of your needs.
Approvals
We know the clock is ticking once we receive your order. Our interconnected team of project managers and engineers work closely together to process all material counter samples and shop drawings for your review, while keeping an eye on the project timeline.
Production
Our work does not stop once an order goes into production. We have our own QA ground team at all our factories who closely monitor orders as they go through the various states of manufacturing. The QA team is in constant communication with our US office providing updates through progress photos and videos.
Delivery
The complexities of shipping international freight can be overwhelming, so our shipping and logistics team will work closely with you to figure out the best method to get your product to site. We offer a variety of transit methods including airfreight, ocean freight, and domestic ground trucking and we can manage delivery of shipments from factory to job site through container direct shipping.
